Get Prepared !! How to Get Ready for a REAC Inspection
a program for property supervisors, managers and maintenance staff

Meet with two REAC trainers at this meeting and get an update on what these inspectors will be checking.

This program satisfies the REAC training educational requirement
for the NAHMT and NAHMS Maintenance Certifications.

Speakers:
Terry Holcomb - Construction Analyst
HUD PIH-REAC, Atlanta, GA

Mr. Holcombe joined the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) in 2000 as a Quality Assurance – Construction Analyst. Shortly after joining he was assigned as a REAC instructor for both PIH/MF and inspector training. In addition to training, Mr. Holcombe conducts physical inspections and quality assurance reviews of contract inspectors and QA staff. Prior to joining REAC, Mr. Holcombe, worked with the Small Business Administration – Disaster Assistance for 11 years as a Field Chief coordinating disaster relief efforts and estimating disaster related damages to residential and business properties throughout the U.S. His career experience and background includes 6 years as the owner of a construction company which specialized in the construction of single family homes, apartments and medical facilities (Imaging centers, dental offices). After attending college, Mr. Holcombe served in the USMC as an air traffic control technician for 4 years.

Jim Beats - Construction Analyst
HUD PIH-REAC, Dallas, TX

Jim is a Quality Assurance inspector for the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He has conducted Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS) inspections for the Real Estate Assessment Center both as a contract inspector and as an employee of HUD. In 1998 he participated in the pilot test program of the initial UPCS software. Prior to joining HUD he was a quality control manager and inspector on various private and government inspection contracts.
