Please see the announcement below of the HUD/FEMA DHAP-IKE housing assistance program for residents displaced by Hurricane Ike.

For properties throughout Texas and Louisiana that currently have vacancies and would like those units made available to displaced residents of the Presidentially Declared Disaster (PDD) area, please call 703.667.9420 ext. 114 to register with, or update your records in, the National Housing Locator.

FEMA and Public Housing Agency representatives will use this database to assist displaced citizens locate housing options.

HOUSTON - The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced a rental assistance program that will provide temporary rental payments and case management services to help thousands of families who were displaced by Hurricane Ike. The new program, slated to begin November 1, 2008, will help these families find intermediate housing as they rebuild their lives.
